While there is no doubt that each decade tends to have its most successful musicians — the truly talented stars tend to stick around for more than just 10 years. Today, we're taking a look at those artists who have managed to have top 10 hits in the Billboard Hot 100 over the course of three decades — the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. Frankly, we wouldn't be surprised if some of these end up creating top 10 hits in the 2030s too!
From pop divas like Mariah Carey and Lady Gaga to rap stars like Eminem and Drake — keep on scrolling to see just which popular musicians have released successful music in different decades!
We're kicking the list off with popstar Taylor Swift. In the 2000s Taylor already had quite a few top 10 hits such as "Change" and "You Belong With Me". In the 2010s, Taylor Swift pretty much dominated the pop industry — and some of the hits that made it to the top 10 are "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "Shake It Off," "Blank Space," "Bad Blood," and "Look What You Made Me Do". This decade it seems as if Taylor Swift has continued her success with music and one of her top 10 hits was the song "Cardigan."
Next on the list is pop diva Mariah Carey who was also having top 10 hits in the 90s — so technically she has been successful in the charts for four decades. In the 2000s, Mariah made it into the top 10 with hits like "Thank God I Found You," "We Belong Together," "Don't Forget About Us," and "Touch My Body." In the 2010s and 2020s, Mariah made it into the top 10 with the same hit — the holiday anthem "All I Want For Christmas Is You."
Let's move on to Canadian musician Drake. In the 2000s Drake scored his first top 10 hit with the song "Best I Ever Had" in 2009.
